FIRST is always special. Solo cycling expedition, covering most parts of famous Idli-Dosa region of India, and totaling a sum of 1,500 Kms, completed in 8.5 days.
Now, this journey was actually planned to be a Round-trip, so 2 x 1500 Kms making it a complete 3,000 Kms; but due to some unavoidable reasons (being the first-time into such a long-solo trip, and being absolutely all alone to manage every aspects of the journey) was reduced to 1,500 Kms only.
The journey got a kick start from the Garden-city Bangalore on 18th Dec of 2015, for 1,500 Kms, & was completed in 8.5 straight days, i.e. on 26th Dec, 2015.
That makes it very simple mathematics; approx. 150-200 Km/day for 8.5 straight days, and that includes the bitter ground reality of solo cycling in all possible terrine. Very difficult; but a strong belief made it all possible.
This journey passed through 4 states, 15 districts, 20 cities, some of the NHs, few State-highways, and totaling up-to 4,000 meters of bone-breaking elevation gain, with apprx. 3,000 meters of tricky downhill sections.
